Train, volunteer, and get certificates.
Whatever your target job may be, always aim to improve yourself. You must be able to recognize what recruiters want from their applicants, whether it is personality, a specific training, or a certificate. When applying for a job, these qualifications and skills are going to your tools to help you get the position.
During your free time, get extra certifications and take classes to qualify you further and if you do not have enough money for training courses you can volunteer for similar fields. One of the great things about volunteering is that you are getting your foot in the door. In some cases, you may not even need to apply as you can get absorbed by the organizations you volunteered in.
Prepare and update your resumes, make it target specific.
Resumes should always be updated and it should also highlight your skills that you think will wow the recruiters. Making generic resumes are a no-no, those will get thrown to trash without being read.
